General Assembly Meetings

Lewis Cemetery Committee General Assembly meetings are held quarterly on the third Saturday of the months of March, June, September, and December. General Assembly meetings are open to individuals interested in volunteering or would like to be aware of the developments of the committee. We invite those who have relatives who have been laid to rest within the grounds or those who intend to utilize the grounds as their final resting place to engage and participate in the continued care and maintenance of the cemetery, by joining meetings, volunteering your time, and communicating with the group.

Board Member Meetings

Lewis Cemetery Committee Board Member meetings are held on periodically and are closed to the six-member advisory board. Board Member meetings are to discuss past actionable agenda items, examine fiscal matters, and consider new agenda items to present to the General Body. Board Member positions are held for two-year terms, at which time New Board Elections occur, during the March General Body meeting. Next Board Member Elections are to be held March 2027.

Executive Board Members

The six-member Executive Board possesses the complete authority and responsibility to examine the essential matters concerning the operation, care, and maintenance of Lewis Cemetery in Alma, AR. The Cemetery Committee casts votes on recommendations, which are subsequently submitted to the General Body for approval.
